LINKIFY
A social profile manager, built from scratch
The brief
A personal build with a simple premise: a profile page should be composable. Add the widgets you want, arrange them, and share one link that looks like you rather than a template.
The approach
Next.js with Prisma and PostgreSQL. Custom widget pages, Google sign-in and email authentication, and a session system implemented directly in the database instead of depending on a hosted service.
The constraint that made it interesting: every widget could be different, but the page still had to feel instant and keep a single coherent layout.
The outcome
Open source on GitHub, and the project I reach for when I want to test an auth or data pattern on my own terms.
It is also where a lot of the interface opinions on this site were formed: fewer controls, clearer states, no decoration that has to explain itself.
One page for the links a person actually wants to share, with custom widgets — and an auth system implemented in the database rather than bolted on.
